Get Fit

Well my baby is 10 months old now and I still haven't made a serious effort to get back into exercising.  I have had a few things holding me back: 1) don't have a gym pass and one won't be affordable for a little while. But that's not an excuse to wait to exercise until I have a gym pass. 2) I have 3 kids and it gets hard to get a second alone. When my hunny is home I just want to spend time with him instead of exercise. 3) and probably my most compelling excuse--I don't like exercising. I love dancing and exercise just happens to be a fabulous biproduct.  There's no place for me to dance right now besides the occasional impromptu dance party in the kitchen.

So what happened today? The stress, anxiety, tiredness all combined to put me in a pretty agitated state. I knew I wasn't going to get anything accomplished and realized I had to get all this crazy energy in me out.  I was talking with my sister on the phone and she told me to look up Jenny Ford.  We grew up on the same block.  I had no idea she was a fitness instructor so I looked her up .  After watching a few minutes of a couple of her videos I did it.  I threw on some exercise pants, made space in my kitchen, put on Tom and Jerry for my kids, and let the baby wander around me.  I turned on some YouTube exercise videos and did Jenny's Ab workout.  After 10 mins I was dripping and that felt great!   Jenny has a great site.  Check her out at JennyFord.com.
